Dre Kirkpatrick ready 'to respond in the most professional way as possible' against Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals were a little more than a minute away from their first postseason victory in 25 years after backup quarterback AJ McCarron rallied the Bengals to a 15-13 lead against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Jan. 9.

But Cincinnati running back Jeremy Hill lost a fumble that Pittsburgh recovered at its 9-yard line with 59 seconds to play. At the Cincinnati 47, Pittsburgh advanced 30 yards on an incomplete pass thanks to penalties for unnecessary roughness against linebacker Vontaze Burfict and unsportsmanlike conduct against cornerback Adam Jones.

The Bengals' meltdown allowed Chris Boswell to kick a 35-yard field goal with six seconds left to lift Pittsburgh to a 16-15 victory.
