When the Detroit Lions traded Michael Williams to the New England Patriots in August, the tight end was reunited with former Alabama teammate Dont'a Hightower. Williams said he found the linebacker to be the same guy in the NFL that he was with the Crimson Tide.
Hightower and Williams played together for three seasons at Alabama. In Hightower's final season with the Tide, Williams said, he was the leader of Alabama's 2011 BCS national championship team.
"He was the vocal leader, the emotional leader, the person we followed," Williams said.
