Tua Tagovailoa has smiled more with Mike McDaniel than in two years under Brian Flores.
McDaniel has assured Tagovailoa and others that he will make the third-year quarterback into a star. He is showing his dedication by assembling a dynamic roster of offensive coaches. McDaniel will call the plays, but he hired Wes Welker (wide receivers coach), Frank Smith (offensive coordinator), and Darrell Bevell (quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator).
Welker was one of the best slot receivers in NFL history. He will improve the Dolphins’ receiver room and Smith will work closely with McDaniel. Bevell, 52, will be huge for Tagovailoa.
