Does toned-down Alabama offense give defense an edge on A-Day? Nick Saban says no

Though it's just a scrimmage, there are winners and losers on A-Day. They keep score and the victors eat steak.

But which side gets the upper hand with the first team offense on the White team faces Crimson and the first defense? Entering the 2 p.m. Saturday A-Day Game in Bryant-Denny Stadium, the White team has won four of the last five meetings.

Scoring, though, is never high as the offense is dialed back. Too many outside eyes are watching, so the shiny new tricks and toys are left in the bag. The defense has scored touchdowns in each of the past four A-Days, so do they have an edge?
