Alabama's fast start Saturday had a feeling of deja vu. Mack Wilson had just intercepted a pass on the second play, setting up Alabama at the Texas A&M 30.
Next up: Tua Tagovailoa to DeVonta Smith up the left seam for a touchdown that felt a little like 2nd-and-26 in Atlanta. Smith on Monday said it was a totally different play from the one that beat Georgia in the national title game in January.
It was also unique for the way Smith caught it.
The sophomore went fully horizontal -- parallel to the Bryant-Denny Stadium turf to pull in the 30-yard touchdown.
