Derrick Henry nominated for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week

In reflecting back on his outing last Thursday versus Jacksonville, Derrick Henry opened the eyes of the Tennessee Titans’ coaching staff to give him more opportunities.

The third-year running back from the University of Alabama posted a career game with 238 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 17 carries. He tied Pro Football Hall of Famer, Tony Dorsett, with the longest scoring run in National Football League history of 99 yards.

Henry’s size at 6-3/247 pounds and brute strength powered the Titans to a 30-9 win over the Jaguars, to improve to 7-6 and still in the hunt for a playoff berth.
