Jalen Milroe had the stage to show he’s an improved passer, and the sophomore excelled.
He completed 11 of 23 passes for 149 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown to Christian Leary.
Milroe and Leary connected on several plays at Bryant-Denny Stadium, pacing White to a 25-7 victory over Crimson. Leary, a sophomore, led all wide receivers with five catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted nine times and averaged 21.2 yards per reception. Milroe totaled 32 yards rushing on eight carries and demonstrated control as he operated the offense.
Ty Simpson, a freshman, completed five of 12 passes for 43 yards.
