The Houston Texans liked what they were seeing from wide receiver DeAndrew White in training camp. But when he suffered a groin injury before the first preseason game in August, the NFL team went about building its roster for the 2017 season without the former Alabama standout.
But the Texans hoped to bring back White when he recovered and if the need arose. Now White is hoping to play on Sunday in an NFL regular-season game for the first time in more than two years.
"DeAndrew, we really liked him in training camp," Houston coach Bill O'Brien said.
