Danny Sheridan on state-sanctioned sports gambling: 'Alabama is pathetically in the dark ages'

You have to forgive Danny Sheridan's excitement. He's like a kid on Christmas.

On Monday, The United States Supreme Court ruled a federal ban on state-sanctioned sports gambling is unconstitutional.

That means states can now operate their own bookmaking operations.

"I'm sorry I'm not 21 years old," Sheridan told AL.com. "I've been dreaming about this since I was in college. This is incredible."

But what does this mean for the state of Alabama and, in general, college football?
