Shock waves went through fans of the University of Alabama football program on Friday afternoon, as news was reported on quarterbacks’ coach Dan Enos going to Miami.
He had molded Tua Tagovailoa into a Heisman finalist and consensus All-American, while transforming Jalen Hurts to a much-improved passer. It was widely-regarded by everyone that Enos would serve as offensive coordinator under Nick Saban next fall; however, it will not happen. The 50-year-old joins Manny Diaz’s coaching staff in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and according to an interview with Bo Mattingly, Enos said the move was right for him.
“There is so much more to these decisions than the small picture,” Enos said.
