Even after a mediocre outing from the offenses in Saturday’s “A-Day” game at Alabama, one of its own was the player of the game.
Sophomore running back Damien Harris was awarded the Dixie Howell Memorial Most Valuable Player of the A-Day Game Award after rushing for a game-high 114 yards on 20 carries at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
“Damien Harris had a really nice day,” coach Nick Saban said in his postgame news conference. “(He) looked quick and explosive and he did a really nice job.”
