Alabama football players Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones won’t be prosecuted on charges stemming from a May 17 arrest in Monroe, La. due to insufficient evidence, according to a report from KNOE-TV.
Robinson and Jones were arrested at a park in Monroe on marijuana and weapons charges May 17.
The arresting officer wrote in his probable cause affidavit that as he approached Jones and Robinson in their vehicle at a Monroe park, noticed a strong odor of marijuana, then saw a gun on Jones’ lap. The officer wrote that he “found a bag of marijuana in plain view on the front drivers floorboard and a stolen handgun under the seat,” after the two were removed from the car.
