Well, that USC game was an exciting one to kick off the 2016 season. It’s well past Coach Nick Saban’s 24-hour rule to celebrate so we got to move on to this week’s game with Western Kentucky.
In all likelihood, expect the quarterback competition for the Tide to continue in the second game of the season. Both Blake Barnett and Jalen Hurts ended up putting in good performances against USC with the occasional mistake that’s to be expected with youngsters getting their first start on the big stage. Running back Damien Harris will look to carry on his impressive 138-yard game on nine carries from one week ago and hopefully, Bo Scarbrough will get going as well.
