ICYMI: Crimson Tide Report—Saban, Baseball, and an Irate Barner
The Crimson Tide posted a four-run fifth inning to tie the game up at four with South Carolina, but the Gamecocks scored the two-run difference in the sixth to get the win.
In the top of the second inning, the Gamecocks were in business with two in scoring position after a lead-off single from Dom Thompson-Williams followed up by a double from Jonah Bride. South Carolina took a 1-0 lead off Chris Cullen’s sacrifice fly. A bang-up play on a dropped strike three call got Alabama out of trouble with a 2-3-6 double play that caught Bride trying to sneak into third.
