Setting a record attendance, 3,732 people witnessed the Alabama women’s basketball team defeat the Georgia Bulldogs 64-50 Sunday night in Foster Auditorium.
The attendance number didn’t go unrecognized by Alabama coach Kristy Curry. It made the game a memorable one.
“There are going to be moments we look back on, like today,” she said. “It was incredibly special.”
The crowd energy made the game what it was.
Senior Nikki Hegstetter said it’s what made the difference down the stretch with making key stops. She sees the fans as the biggest advantage playing at home.
