Crimson Tide fans are used to seeing commits and players for Alabama take home awards. This weekend was no different.
At The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., Crimson Tide quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa won two MVP Awards at The Opening in Oregon.
Tagovailoa won the MVP for the Elite 11 for his performance earlier in the week as well as taking home the MVP for The Opening 7-on-7 Championship held on Sunday.
Tagovailoa’s team, Team Vapor Speed, defeated Team Fly Rush 38-20 for the title. Team Vapor Speed was full of Crimson Tide commits with wide receiver Tyrell Shavers, running back Najee Harris, linebackers Markail Benton and VanDarius Cowan and safety Xavier McKinney joining Tagovailoa.
