Crimson Tide baseball wins 2-1 over No. 19 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Crimson Tide baseball team walked into Lexington unsure of what the team would face. The No. 19 Kentucky Wildcats were hungry, but Alabama was hungrier.

Alabama's Nick Eicholtz stunned the Wildcats Sunday afternoon, leading the Tide to a 2-1 victory. Eicholtz pitched a career-long 7.2 innings while allowing only one run.

The Tide drew first blood in the first inning. Cobie Vance got the first hit of the day and would later score Alabama's first run.

It would be a quiet game for the next seven innings. Alabama would leave three batters on base throughout the first eight innings.
