BATON ROUGE, La. -- Despite winning the first two games of the series against No. 7 LSU on Saturday, Alabama just couldn't complete the series, losing 7-5 against the Tigers Sunday. LSU scored six of its seven runs late in the eighth inning to take the win.
Alabama (13-6, 2-1 SEC) enter the bottom of the eighth inning leading 4-1 but a series of five Tiger hits proved that it would be unable to keep the lead. Down by three runs, the Crimson Tide tried to make a comeback in the ninth inning.
