The reunion of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Mike McCarthy has ended before it could start.
Despite the franchise signing Clinton-Dix to a one-year contract in April, the Dallas Cowboys decided to release him from his deal on Thursday. News came via Todd Archer of ESPN, as the former Alabama safety is a free agent once again.
He is in his seventh NFL season and with the Cowboys pulling the plug, Clinton-Dix is looking for his fifth team. A native of Orlando, Fla., he was taken in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.
