Contract details and jersey number revealed for rookie QB Jalen Hurts

He is returning to his roots.

For Jalen Hurts, the former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback had a big announcement on Wednesday and he decided to let the world in on it via Twitter. After being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the NFL Draft, the native Texan is going back to the number he wore at Channelview High School and in three years with the Crimson Tide: No. 2.

With two different schools, Hurts became the first signal caller of the College Football Playoff era to lead two programs to the playoff. He earned a host of accolades from both institutions and was a conference champion.
