Alabama's been flagged for this one before and there's still confusion surrounding a four-year old amendment to the roughing-the-passer rule.
This time it was Anfernee Jennings who was called for hitting Vanderbilt's Kyle Shurmur on the third play of Alabama's 59-0 win at Vanderbilt. It led to the first of three Commodore first downs recorded on a historic defensive day for the Crimson Tide.
It was a little confusing for the starting outside linebacker.
"I really didn't know I was getting a penalty until I got back to the sideline," Jennings said Monday. "I didn't think anything was wrong with it, but that's the rule and I have to be more discipline.
