Kevin Turner's six-year battle with the neurodegenerative disease ALS ended on March 24. But the former fullback's legacy as a football star will live on in the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
Turner, who died at age 46, will be posthumously inducted in May as part of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame's football-flavored, eight-member Class of 2017.
The other members of the Class of 2017 are Lee DeFore, Ken Donahue, Jim Goostree, Jeff Herrod, Todd Jones, Takeo Spikes and Carnell "Cadillac" Williams. The Alabama Sports Hall of Fame released its newest set of inductees on Wednesday morning.
