After more than two seasons of trying, Christion Jones is in line to play in a professional regular-season game on Saturday night.
Jones is listed as the backup slotback on the Saskatchewan Roughriders' depth chart for their Canadian Football League game against the British Columbia Lions at 6 p.m. CDT Saturday in Vancouver.
The Roughriders called up Jones from their practice squad on Tuesday.
Jones was an All-State selection for Minor High School in Adamsville for the 2009 and 2010 seasons before playing four years for Alabama.
