Chris Owens looks to solidify Alabama’s OL at center this spring

With the return of Tua Tagovailoa as its starting quarterback, the University of Alabama’s coaching staff for football have the intentions of not seeing him injured next season.

Alabama seems to have three of its five offensive line positions in order; however, left guard and center are areas of concern. Deonte Brown, a redshirt junior, played in 12 games last season – including five starts at left guard. He was the spark that got the Crimson Tide’s rushing attack producing strong numbers and was one of the reasons behind Tagovailoa’s big sophomore year.

The 6-foot-4, 342-pounder was present for the first two sessions of spring practice, but he was also one of three players that did not travel to the College Football Playoff (NCAA issue).
