Check out photos of Alabama's sidelines, fans in the Fresno State game

When rookie linebacker Reuben Foster was examined on the field after getting hurt in the San Francisco 49ers' season-opening game on Sunday, it was feared the former Alabama All-American had broken his leg.

It turned out Foster hadn't broken his right tibia, but that wasn't revealed until he was taken off the field to the locker room by cart in the first quarter. X-rays taken there showed no break. Foster's diagnosis was changed from a leg injury to an ankle injury, and he came back to the sidelines in full uniform in the second quarter, although he didn't return to the game.
