Charles Baldwin’s time with the University of Alabama football program didn’t last long.
A member of the Crimson Tide’s top-ranked 2016 recruiting class, Baldwin arrived in Tuscaloosa early and enrolled for the spring semester.
Four-and-a-half months later, he’s gone.
Baldwin was dismissed from the team due to a violation of team rules, UA coach Nick Saban said per a released statement Thursday afternoon.
Coming in as a junior college five-star recruit, Baldwin was initially thought to immediately compete for a chance as the team’s starting right tackle. However, Baldwin wasn’t as developed as other offensive linemen and he didn’t figure into the starting competition, at least during spring practice.
