Guard Chance Warmack signed a one-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 2. But eight days later, when the Eagles opened their season against the Washington Redskins, the former Alabama All-American didn't suit up for the game.
Warmack started for the Crimson Tide for three seasons and had started all 48 games of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans. But in his first game with Philadelphia, Warmack was one of the seven Eagles designated as inactive for the contest. Each NFL team has 53 players on its active roster, but can use only 46 on game day.
