Former Alabama All-American Chance Warmack probably figured his second NFL contract would be a lucrative one. As NFL contracts go, it wasn't.
But Warmack had a fallback plan, and ESPN's Darren Rovell has reported the Philadelphia Eagles guard would become the first NFL player to collect on a loss-of-value insurance policy.
The policy was to pay off if Warmack's second NFL contract was for fewer than $20 million.
The 10th player picked in the 2013 NFL Draft, Warmack signed a four-year contract worth $12,166,652 with the Tennessee Titans.
