In the midst of rushing to worry about everything else after a 38-10 win over Western Kentucky – everything but the defense, that is – University of Alabama football fans seemed to have less energy for their favorite debate of the offseason. The quarterback position got some attention, but not much.
Primarily, that's because Alabama won, and because Jalen Hurts seems to be winning the battle, if it's a battle at all. If anything, it seems like a siege, a protracted campaign in which the ostensible backup, Blake Barnett, keeps trying to break out but just hasn't done it.
