TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama baseball's Casey Hughston and Taylor Guilbeau were selected on day two of the 2015 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Hughston was taken in the third round by the Pittsburgh Pirates, while Guilbeau was selected in the 10th round by the Washington Nationals.
Hughston was the 96th overall pick in this year's draft, making him the second-highest drafted Alabama outfielder in the program's storied history. He is behind on Joe Vitiello, who was selected with the seventh overall pick in 1991 by the Kansas City Royals.
He started all 60 games this season in right field and served as the primary cleanup hitter.
