The Jacksonville Jaguars placed long snapper Carson Tinker on injured reserve on Friday, bringing an early end to the Alabama alumnus' comeback season.
Tinker appeared on the Jaguars' injury report this week as being limited in practice with a knee injury before Friday's announcement by the NFL team.
Tinker missed the entire 2017 season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during training camp last year.
Michael DiRocco of ESPN and Phillip Heilman of the Florida Times-Union reported Tinker's current injury involves the same knee hurt last year, but is unrelated to the ACL injury.
