Well this shouldn’t come as a shock to you, but Cam Newton is not an Alabama fan. Newton told TigerNet.com that he would be rooting for Clemson to win the National Championship on Monday night.
Newton says that he’s rooting for Clemson because he became friends with the Tiger’s quarterback Deshaun Watson when Watson attended one of his camps. Newton also says that he hopes Deshaun Watson calls him before the game and that Watson could be Alabama’s “kryptonite.”
Come on Cam, none of your rooting interest comes from not wanting Alabama to win the National Championship in a year that your Auburn Tigers fell on their faces after being named the favorite to win it all?
