A couple of weeks ago, I was playing around on the new Marketplace on Facebook. I had updated my Facebook app and the new tab at the bottom of my phone caught my eye multiple times, but I had never ventured in to see what I could find.
So, on a rainy Sunday, I decided to check it out. It was exactly what I thought it was going to be: lots of furniture, clothes and used car parts for sale. Predictably, it was just Facebook’s way of cornering a market that sites such as Craigslist had mastered — only now you can feel safer because it’s Facebook, where we are all friends.
