Avery Johnson continues to weave his magic on the recruiting trail, adding four star combo guard Kia Lewis out of Hazel Green, Alabama on Friday. Lewis was originally in the class of 2019 but reclassified and will join the Tide immediately and will be eligible for the 2018-19 season. Lewis is the nations ninth ranked point guard, and 39th ranked overall player. The Tide beat out over three dozen teams for Lewis, including Indiana, Kansas, LSU, and Auburn.
Lewis will battle fellow freshman Jared Butler and Avery Johnson, Jr for minutes at the point guard position.
