Last week, Brian Robinson remembered why he chose the University of Alabama in 2017.
As a Tuscaloosa native, he saw all the legends that were impactful. He watched Shaun Alexander, Shaud Williams, Ray Hudson, Kenneth Darby, Glen Coffee, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, T.J. Yeldon, Kenyan Drake, and Derrick Henry dominate college football. Robinson wanted a chance to be part of “Running Back U,” and the homegrown talent signed his national letter of intent via Hillcrest High School. It is not an easy lesson, but patience gets Nick Saban’s attention.
He arrived as a four-star prospect; however, Robinson waited behind Najee Harris, Josh Jacobs, Damien Harris, and Bo Scarbrough for his opportunity.
