Brian Kelly is riding high with the LSU fans after earning his first victory over Nick Saban and Alabama.
He outcoached Saban to a 32-31 overtime win at Tiger Stadium last week, putting the Tigers in the driver’s seat for the Southeastern Conference Championship Game and ending Alabama’s hopes for the College Football Playoff.
Jayden Daniels, Tigers’ starting quarterback, rushed for a 25-yard touchdown during LSU’s first possession of overtime, cutting the Crimson Tide’s lead to 31-30. Coach Kelly decided to win the game on a two-point conversion. Daniels found tight end Mason Taylor to convert the two-point try, and LSU fans stormed the field.
