CARY, N.C. - Alabama starter Geoffrey Bramblett's eight-inning start helped lead the Crimson Tide to a 4-0 shutout win over Notre Dame on Friday evening at the USA Baseball-Irish Classic. Alabama has now won seven straight and improves to 8-1 on the season, 1-0 in the tournament.
"Geoffrey (Bramblett) was really sharp all night long," said Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard. "From the first pitch on, he was locked in. He took us deep in the game to help get the win, and then (Matt) Foster finished with a good inning in the ninth.
