Bobby Humphrey on ballot for Hall of Fame

IRVING, Texas | Former University of Alabama running back Bobby Humphrey is one of 76 players and five coaches named to the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced this week.

Humphrey, from Birmingham, completed his UA career in 1988 as the school’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 4,958. He scored 40 career touchdowns and in 1986 as a sophomore set the school’s single-season rushing record with 1,471 yards to earn All-America honors. As a junior, he was named United Press International Offensive Player of the Year and again was named All-American.
