IRVING, Texas - Former Alabama running back Bobby Humphrey and former Tide linebacker E.J. Junior are among 75 players and six coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision placed on the 2017 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot, the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame announced today.
Humphrey finished his standout career at the Capstone as the Crimson Tide’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 4,958 while adding 40 total touchdowns. An All-America selection in 1986, Humphrey set what was then the Alabama single-season rushing mark with 1,471 yards. He followed up his sophomore campaign with a 1987 season that saw him claim UPI Offensive Player of the Year honors as well as another All-America nod.
