Count Alabama coach Nick Saban among those left distinctly unimpressed after Bo Scarbrough tried to high-five a Tennessee fan last week.
Saban strongly criticized Scarbrough’s action after the Crimson Tide’s 49-10 victory against Tennessee.
At the end of Scarbrough’s fourth-quarter 85-yard touchdown run, the Alabama running back attempted — and missed — a high-five with a surprised Tennessee fan identified as Josh Durbin. It’s not something Saban wants to see again.
“That’s a young kid who needs people to look up to in the world, who needs sports figures that he can sort of have some admiration for the way they carry themselves, the example that they set, the things that they do, and that was not an action that contributed to that in any way and it’s not how we want our players to represent themselves, their family or the program,” he said.
