Blake Sims released in massive roster reduction by Saskatchewan Roughriders

Former Alabama graduate-assistant coach Chris Jones guided the Edmonton Eskimos to a 14-4 regular-season record during the 2015 Canadian Football League season, then won the 103rd Grey Cup. But he didn't go to Disney World after winning the CFL title. He went to Saskatchewan, leaving the league's championship team for one that finished 3-15 in 2015.

Why? Because Jones didn't become just the coach of the Roughriders. He's the general manager and vice president of football operations, too.

On Tuesday, he got busy in at least one of those jobs, releasing 19 players, including four regulars, from the Saskatchewan roster.
