If former University of Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Blake Sims’ dreams to continue playing football at a professional level are to continue, they’ll unfortunately have to begin with another team.
According to an article on CFL.com, the Toronto Argonauts released Sims on Sunday just days after signing him to join the north of the border franchise.
Sims just inked his three-year deal with the Argonauts on May 28, 2015. Coming into an already loaded depth chart at quarterback, Sims faced an uphill battle to remain with Toronto. The Argonauts already had their starter in Ricky Ray with Trevor Harris, Mitchell Gale and Logan Kilgore backing Ray up.
