In an interview with The Tuscaloosa News’ Aaron Suttles, University of Alabama athletics director Bill Battle said that the Crimson Tide playing in neutral games will continue until a time when it doesn’t make good sense for the program.
With playing the neutral site games, the school gets a hefty payout each season instead of just making a profit with one time. It’s pretty difficult to argue that point after seeing the revenue the Tide collected last year but from the fan’s view, it’s easy to see how the home and home series with Power Five teams would be attractive.
