TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama marketing department will be hosting National Anthem singer auditions Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, inside Foster Auditorium from 5:30-7 p.m. in anticipation of the 2016 Alabama baseball season at the newly renovated Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
The Crimson Tide require the National Anthem to be performed in a traditional manner with no styling or individual musical interpretation. The anthem should be performed in a straightforward manner with the utmost respect and honor for what the song stands for. Those auditioning are asked to please remember that the National Anthem is about honoring America and the men and women serving our country, and is not about the glorification of the individual or group performing the piece.
