HOOVER, Ala. -- Alabama baseball came up short in its comeback effort on Friday evening, falling 8-4 to Arkansas inside the Hoover Met. The Razorbacks claim the series victory while the Crimson Tide moves to 23-23 on the season and 8-15 in conference play.
Seven of the nine Alabama starters collected one hit on the evening, while five of them collected two hits apiece. The Alabama offense outhit Arkansas, 12-7, but the Razorbacks were able to string together hits at key times, including a five-run fifth inning that would prove the deciding factor in tonight's contest.
