Bama commit headlines Alabama’s 6 HS all-star defensive backs

Alabama currently has one in-state commitment for the Class of 2018, and he’s been selected to play in the 31st Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.

St. Paul’s senior Jalyn Armour-Davis, a cornerback and standout kick returner who is committed to Alabama, is one of the six defensive backs invited the game, according to a news release from the AHSAA.

The other defensive backs picked for the all-star game are: Homewood’s C.D. Daniels, who is committed to Memphis; Piedmont’s Cardavion Myers, who has helped win two straight Class 3A state titles; Ramsay’s Starling Thomas, who is committed to UAB; and Lee-Montgomery teammates Jakorey Hawkins and Kevontae Ruggs, the younger brother of Alabama freshman receiver Henry Ruggs.
