After an eventful opening week that saw the 14th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0) pass two big tests against strong mid-major programs (with flying colors), the Tide gets a bit of a reprieve this week before things really get popping over the holidays. A pair of home games against South Alabama and Oakland provides the Tide with two final tune-ups before Alabama heads to Orlando, Florida for the (unbelievably generic) ESPN Events Invitational (seriously, that sounds like a made-up tournament on ESPN 2K Hoops back in the day - they didn’t have the naming rights for the Maui Invitational or something so that’s what they went with).
