Coming off of its first road victory of the season this past Tuesday, the 18th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0; Kenpom: 16; T-Rank: 18) plays host to the Jacksonville State Gamecocks (1-1; Kenpom: 229; T-Rank: 220) in Tuscaloosa tonight, and although it’s yet another match-up of 2022 NCAA Tournament participants for the Tide, tonight’s game is definitely a tune-up for next week’s loaded field at the Phil Knight Invitational.
The Gamecocks lost most of their production from last season and have already dropped a game to Illinois-Chicago this year. 7th year head coach, Ray Harper, certainly has a bit of rebuild job ahead of him this season.
