HUNTSVILLE | University of Alabama basketball coach Avery Johnson has already made a couple of stops in the northern part of the state for recruiting purposes, but he said that Tuesday’s speaking engagement with the Crimson Caravan was a chance to forge a different type of relationship.
“This was a chance to interact with Coach (Nick) Saban and talk about ways we can maximize our basketball program,” Johnson said in a brief media session.
That doesn’t mean recruiting has slowed down for Johnson and the Crimson Tide, which added guard Dazon Ingram last week and is continuing to look for up to two additional prospects.
