Thanks to a friend of mine, Sam Darby, who did some excellent research on the barn (don’t capitalize it – they don’t deserve it), let’s recap Auburn’s season in sports.
Let’s start with the most popular sport in college, football. Auburn came into Tuscaloosa with an impressive win over the Samford Bulldogs only to be waxed by Alabama 55-44. Then Bruce Pearl, the man who was chosen to revive the Auburn Basketball program, was swept by an Anthony Grant basketball team. Then, we’ll move quickly to baseball: swept in the series that counted in the SEC standings.
